Abstract: With the rapid development of internet technology, new media, characterized by its unique interactivity and immediacy, has had a profound impact on traditional media. This paper aims to explore the development strategies and changes of traditional Chinese media influenced by the wave of new media. The article first analyzes the characteristics of new media and the challenges it poses to traditional media, then explores the strategies adopted by traditional media in response to the impact of new media, and finally proposes possible directions and suggestions for the future development of traditional media.

With the continuous advancement of information technology, new media, as an emerging media form, has been widely used globally due to its fast information dissemination, strong interactivity, and wide coverage. How traditional Chinese media can establish and develop in the wave of new media has become an urgent problem to be solved.
