Preparatory department


The preparatory department of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University has existed at the university since 1997 and is a structural unit on the basis of which pre-university training is carried out.

Pre-university training on the basis of the pre-university department is carried out in the following areas:

  • preparatory courses for in-depth study of school subjects;
  • preparatory courses for admission to study for a master’s degree;
  • preparation of foreign students for university entrance.

The purpose of pre-university training is to provide conditions for quality preparation of citizens for admission through careful study of academic disciplines, as well as the successful adaptation of entrants to study in higher education. One of the main tasks of the preparatory department is to form a high-quality contingent of university students.

Training in the Pre-University Department is carried out in accordance with the work programs developed on the basis of standard programs. The curricula and programs of the Pre-University Department meet state standards and requirements.

Duration of preparatory courses – from 1 month to 1 year, the total cost of courses depends on the selected subjects, the number of students in the group and is approved by the relevant budget.

Payment for courses is made after the conclusion of the agreement exclusively through the Bank according to the details.

Foreign nationals and stateless persons can be enrolled in the preparatory department during the year, provided that the group consists of at least 10 people.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED FOR TRAINING:

(translation into Ukrainian with notarization must be attached)

  1. Application-questionnaire of the established sample; (provided);
  2. Document on education and received grades (points) in academic disciplines and translation into Ukrainian, certified by a notary (2 copies)*;
  3. Medical certificate, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner came, and issued no later than two months before leaving for study in Ukraine;
  4. Medical certificate of absence of HIV infection;
  5. Passport with translation into Ukrainian, certified by a notary (2 copies);
  6. A copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if any);
  7. 10 photos measuring 3×4 cm;
  8. Insurance policy covering COVID-19 for the period of study.

* Prior education documents must go through consular legalization or apostille. A foreign student who has a document of education without an APOSTILLE/CONSULAR LEGALIZATION is not enrolled in the university.

Students who have passed the exams unsatisfactorily return home or repeat the course of study in the next academic year.

As a result of the successful completion of the Pre-University Department, foreign citizens and students without citizenship receive an official certificate, which allows admission to the specialty of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
