NOSTRIFICATION – PROCEDURE FOR RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN DOCUMENTS ON EDUCATION

The procedure of recognition of foreign documents on education (nostrification) aims to ensure the rights of citizens who have been educated in other countries to continue their education and/or professional activity in Ukraine and is carried out individually.

Recognition of foreign educational documents in Ukraine is carried out in full compliance with the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region, ratified by the relevant Law of Ukraine of 03.12.1999 № 1273-XIV, and the recommendations of this Convention.

As a result of the recognition procedure, the owner of foreign educational documents receives a certificate confirming the right of the owner of documents issued by an educational institution of another state to continue education in a higher educational institution of Ukraine. The issuance of such a certificate is based on the decision of the competent authority – a higher education institution or the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The procedure for recognizing foreign educational documents includes: verifying the authenticity of documents, confirming the status of the educational institution and/or educational program, assessing qualifications or periods of study, and establishing equivalence to educational or professional degrees in Ukraine, academic and/or professional rights.

You can submit documents on education in person for the implementation of the recognition procedure at the address: Kyiv, st. Vyacheslava Chornovola, 25, State Enterprise “Information and Image Center” according to the work schedule.
