TARAS BEREZOVETS BOOK “ANNEXATION. THE CRIMEAN PENINSULA” PRESENTED AT PETRO MOHYLA BLACK SEA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Interesting meetings with famous contemporary people has become usual for the students and lecturers of our University. On April 21 at the Academic Council Board Room, the presentation of the book “Annexation. The Crimean Peninsula. Hybrid War Chronicles” took place at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. The author of the book is Taras Berezovets, who is a famous Ukrainian political consultant, journalist, the director of personal and strategic consulting services company “Berta Communications.”

Leonid Klymeko, the principal of the University, Oleksandr Shevchuk, the dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Taras Kremin and Ihor Brychenko, people’s deputies, attended the meeting too.

In his book Taras Berezovets, famous Crimean expert, analyses the mechanisms and technologies of so-called “hybrid war” made by military forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula.

The author of the book highlighted that the book is unique for several reasons: “The witnesses of around 40 people are gathered in it, including A.Yatseniuk, O. Turchynov, sea soldiers, and journalists. This book is quite important because it has the proof of the Russian Aggression. The main thing is to preserve the historical memory, there are no personal estimations there. Only documented data that has been gathered for 6 months.”

At the end of the meeting, both students and lecturers asked the author some “painful” questions and got satisfying answers. And then did not let the guest and interlocutor leave them for a long time.

We all hope that the next presentation Taras Berezovets will hold next year in Ukrainian Crimea (in Yalta, Simferopol, and Kerch).
