STUDENTS-JOURNALISTS’ FLASHMOB DEVOTED TO MYKOLA VINHRANOSKYI 80TH BIRTHDAY


The birthday of a famous poet from Ukraine, Mykola Vinhranovskyi, is celebrated on 7 November. This year he would have been 80-year-old man.

On the occasion of his anniversary, the students of the specialty “Journalism” together with Petro Mohyla TV made flashmob; they read poems of this poet on the street of Mykolaiv.

Also on this day on the air of the program “New day” on a regional channel “Mykolaiv” a new rubric “What do you think?” started. Anastasia Razvodova, the anchorwoman of the program, the student of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, was asking the locals in Soborna Street about whether they know who Mykola Vinhranovskyi was. All the answers were rather unexpected. Video rubric ended with poetry: the student of the specialty “Journalism” Pavlyna Sehlianyk read a poem of Mykola Vinhranovskyi that is called “Her name.”

Mykola Stepanovych Vinhranovskyi – classic writer of Ukrainian literature, famous Ukrainian poet, poet-sixtier, producer, scriptwriter, actor. He was born on 7 November 1936 in a small city Pervomaisk in Mykolaiv Region.

The oeuvre of the author got the proper recognition. Among many literature awards, honorable distinctions, and prizes, Mykola Vinhranovskyi is a prizewinner of Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine (1984).
