ROUND TABLE BETWEEN UKRAINE AND BRITAIN «WATER SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT»

In the terms of International project between Ukraine and Britain and at the support of the British Council in Ukraine, on 7 November at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University a round table “Water Security and Management” took place.

This event was organized by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management and headed by Olena Mitriasova, the Head of the Department.

The aim of this event is to hold consultations concerning the problems of basin-wide water resources management, monitoring questions, water management experience in European countries and the USA by scientists, and leading specialists in this branch.

Heads and professionals of Southern Buh basin-wide water resources management, Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of Mykolaiv State Region Administration, specialists of Mykolaiv Water Supply Authority (Mykolaiv Public Utility) and LLC JV “Nibulon”, researchers from the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management took part in the discussion.

Chad Staddon, the professor from the University of the West of England (Bristol, United Kingdom) has attended the roundtable. Our British colleague shared his experience in water resources management in the United Kingdom and the USA with Ukrainian specialists. In particular, he told all the people who were present at the roundtable, that the University of the West of England are concerned with water problems around the world and cooperate with different institutions. The main aim is to improve water’s quality with the help of different analysis and modern technologies implementing in order to save water.

The result of this event was the agreement of arrangements, perspective outline for further international collaboration between Ukrainian and British sides for conducting researches concerning water management.

Organizing committee of the 1st International Workshop on Information-Communication Technologies & Embedded Systems (ICT&ES-2019) is honored to announce that the event will be held on 14-15 of November, 2019 at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

Olbian Forum – 2018
