On 6 April Olena Tryhub, the artist from Mykolaiv and the senior lecturer from the Design Department of Mykolaiv Division of Kyiv National University of culture and arts, visited Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University with her exhibition.
Traditionally the exhibition was opened by Leonid Klymenko, the rector of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. The artist decided to present her exhibition only at our University because she likes the Gallery of the university (as she says there is a lot of light in it).
There were more than 35 works, most of them are made in the batik technique, other works are made oil paintings or still-life pictures. Not all of the artist’s pictures are easy to understand. One location consisted of works which can be seen and understood only if you look at it from the distance.
“I have decided to open all my thoughts through the pictures, that’s because it’s spring now and that’s the time when hope for better becomes even stronger,” – said the artist.
In general, this exhibition impressed both colleagues and guests of Olena Tryhub with its expressiveness, dynamics, brightness, and color.
