On April 21, the solemn opening of Teodor Minkov portrait sculpture and the presentation of the documents of Mykolaiv Regional Public Record Office connected with South Slavic Boarding School was held in Mykolaiv Regional History Museum.
Oleksandr Sienkievych (the mayor of the city), Anton Kisse (the president of the Bulgarian Assosiation of Ukraine), Volodymyr Mykhailov (the director of Mykolaiv Regional History Museum), Taras Kremin (the people’s deputy of Ukraine), Leonid Klymenko (the principal of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University) were at this event.
The opening of Teodor Minkov portrait sculpture happened. The author of it is the sculptor Yurii Makushyn. Medals to “150 anniversary of South Slavic Boarding House Foundation” were handed out to Oleksandr Sienkievych, Volodymyr Mykhailov, Leonid Klymenko, Oleksandr Pronkevych and others.
Moreover, the documents of Mykolaiv Regional Public Record Office connected with South Slavic Boarding School of Teodor Minkov were presented.
At the first part of the event, Bulgarian folk music group “Izvorche” performed songs in the Bulgarian language.
The next event was the presentation of the movie “South Slavic Boarding House” prepared by Oleksandr Pronkevych, the director of the Institute of Philology in terms of the II International Science Conference “Slavic Studies.”
