The Stadium with Artificial Cover was opened on the Water Base of PMBSNU


On March 28, the grand opening of the stadium with artificial cover on the water base of PMBSNU took place.

The opening ceremony was attended by students, teachers, and rector of the PMBSNU Leonid Klymenko as well as many other respectable persons. The event was also joined by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Roman Greba, the Chairman of the Committee for Physical Education and Science of Ukraine Vadym Stetsenko, the Advisor to the Governor Evgen Shevchenko, and the First Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Krylenko.

Addressing the audience, Leonid Klymenko has noted that the stadium is a small gift for Mykolaiv to the anniversary of the liberation of the city from the German invaders in the Second World War.

Although the football stadium was opened, the other university athletes were not forgotten. The students of the Ukrainian team received a double sprint canoe, which they immediately tested on the water.

In addition to the skill of rowing champions, spectators and guests were surprised by masters of hand-to-hand combat, karate, and sambo.

After the ceremony official part, the first official match was held by the PMBSNU team and the Mykolaiv football veterans.
