Sport at the University

Today students have the opportunity of free time to engage in basketball, volleyball, football, badminton , table tennis, rowing , athletics , swimming, athletic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, martial arts , chess and others.

Nowadays students in their free time have an opportunity to be engaged in such sport activities as basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, academic rowing, track-and-field athletics, swimming, body-building, rhythmic gymnastics, martial arts, chess, etc.

If you like being into sports then 13 specialized sports clubs are waiting for you. Among them: yachting sport, underwater sports, martial arts and some other. You have a great chance to keep fit and take part in competitions of both university and local status.

All the sport clubs are run by instructors of the department. It can be observed that the level of students’ physical and special skills rose. Regular trainings in sport clubs help to increase theoretical knowledge of a particular sport chosen, to improve sportsmanship and health level.

There are 3 sports halls and one well-equipped fitness center at PMBSNU.

Annually, nation wide Student Games take place, where students from any corner of Ukraine can show their proficiency and skills. There are some university competitions held systematically, for instance, a contest on aerobics among students from different faculties. Special training courses on weight-lifting and strength endurance are available in gym №2.

Sportsmen from the PMBSNU are active participants of local inter-university competitions according to the report by the regional department of sport issues. The teaching staff is professional and well-qualified. They have participated in various regional contests among academic teaching staff. Students of our university regularly take part in different inter-university competitions on 11 sports.

We are pleased to announce to all basketball fans that Premier League games of the Ukrainian Championship are held at our university from time to time. We have a resident basketball team, which takes part in the Ukrainian Championship. Our students are active participants of different contests, festivals, the program “Sport for everyone”, which are organized by the local Department of Youth and Family issues. Moreover, sport contests among teaching staff are also popular among students, because it is always interesting to see your instructors in informal setting.

Twice a year the Championship on sport fishing among teaching staff is held at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

Organizing committee of the 1st International Workshop on Information-Communication Technologies & Embedded Systems (ICT&ES-2019) is honored to announce that the event will be held on 14-15 of November, 2019 at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

Olbian Forum – 2018
