During October 9-11, the Black Sea National University hosted the honorary guests from the Saarland University (Germany).
Within the framework of the German delegation visit on October 9, an official meeting with the rector of the BSNU took place.The Saarland delegation, headed by Professor Astrid Fellner, discussed with Leonid Klymenko, the vice-rector for scientific work Volodymyr Beglytsia and the director of the Institute of Philology Oleksander Pronkevych the new ways for the further cooperation between our universities in mutually beneficial directions.
Rector Leonid Klymenko noted that today the established cooperation is useful for students, who are able to receive double diplomas and carry out overseas internships. Primary, it will support the BSNU Medical Institute.
The higher education system reform, which is currently taking place in Ukraine, will allow creating a single labor market of higher qualification that will ensure the mobility of teachers and students.
Also, on October 10, a book written in collaboration between the teachers of both universities was presented. In particular, Tetiana Ostapchuk, associate professor of the Department of English Philology, PhD in Philological Sciences, is a co-author of the book.
Moreover, on October 11, Professor Fellner lectured on “What are the border researches? Introduction to studying the border in terms of cultural studies”, and presented the master’s programs (the Border Research Program) at the University of Saarland.
