Traditionally, on July 3, every year, the main street of Mykolayiv, Soborna, is filled with a festive procession dedicated to the ceremonial awarding of diplomas to bachelors and masters of Petro Mohyla BSNU. This year’s procession was no exception.
The rector of the university Leonid Klymenko opened the event. He stressed: “Today we have a double holiday: this is the birthday of the university, which has been established by the Cabinet of Ministers on July 3, 1996; and the second – it is the feast of the Convocation, the day of solemnly handing diplomas to bachelors and masters of the university.”
Honorable guest of the holiday, the head of the Mykolayiv Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Savchenko read a greetings to graduates from the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The regional header hopes that the graduates of Petro Mohyla BSNU will have a daily motivation for making good in the country where they are lucky to have been born.
Taras Kremin – the People’s Deputy of Ukraine – also visited the event. He emphasized: “Competitive European education, which is received by graduates of our university, is the key to future success in life, but not a basis. The main things are daily work, inspiration, and persuasion.”
Deans of faculties, directors of institutes, and heads of departments congratulated their graduates. They handed the diplomas to their students.
On the same day, on July 3, the ceremonial awarding of diplomas to the latest graduation of specialists – of the Faculty of Law and the Medical Institute – was held.
