On July 13, 2021, the Testing Center sent to the institutions of higher education the results of the stage 1 of the Unified State Qualification Examination (USQE) in the specialty “Medicine”, which took place on June 29-30, 2021.
For the second time this year (for the first time, foreign students studying in PMBSNU since February 2018 passed the USQE in February this year), foreign students of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University Medical Institute passed the Unified State Qualification Exam.
The results obtained by our foreign students are very high: it is 100% for the professional English exam and 84% for the integrated test exam “Krok – 1”.
In June, 62 foreign students of the Medical Institute passed the exam in the form of tests.
“Krok – 1″ – an exam in general scientific disciplines, which is made after studying the basic fundamental disciplines. This exam is conducted and administered by the Testing Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The duration of the test exam ” Krok – 1″ – three hours, during which time foreign students need to answer 150 questions. The professional English exam lasts an hour. Those students who have not passed the Unified State Qualifying Exam are given another attempt to retake it.
According to Olga Yaremchuk, Deputy Director of the Medical Institute for work with foreign students, teachers of many departments of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University Medical Institute of Ukraine worked at the state exam to achieve such high results for foreign students.
Special thanks to the teachers of the Department of Anatomy, Histology, Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery and Pathomorphology (Head of the Department, Professor – Cherno Valeriy Stepanovych); Department of Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medical, Bioorganic and Biological Chemistry (Head of the Department, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor – Ogloblina Myroslava Volodymyrivna); Department of Therapeutic and Surgical Disciplines and especially its head, professor, Zak Maxim Yurievich for training students in clinical disciplines.
It is also worth noting the work of Associate Professor of Therapeutic and Surgical Disciplines of the Medical Institute Chernyshov Oleg Vladimirovich and the work of the Deputy Director of the Medical Institute Olga Yaremchuk, who developed and implemented special booklets (published in the printing house of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University).
