In Kyiv from 4 to 7, November Ukrainian Championship in fencing took place. There was a team of 7 fencers from Mykolaiv. Among them was a student of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University – Oleh Naumenko.

In the terms of International project between Ukraine and Britain and at the support of the British Council in Ukraine, on 7 November at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University a round table “Water Security and Management” took place.

In the assembly hall of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University on the 13th of September, second course students of “Ukrainian Language and Literature” department have held a summary conference based on the results of educational folklore practice.


The presentation of work experience programs was held in the room of the Academic Board at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University on 21st September. These programs provide language practice and summer period employment (studying and improvement of German language, cultural exchange, living in students’ dormitories, work in German society and good salary). In terms of the Week of German Culture in Ukraine, at Petro Mohyla Blak Sea National University on 27th September, for the first time, panel discussion “Perspectives of alternative energy production: German experience for Ukraine” was held.


This year the national team of Ukraine shows unbelievable results at Paralympic Games. From the first day of the contest our team took the third place according to the amount of medals (the first place took China, and the second one– Great Britain).


Traditionally, on the second Saturday of September, all residents of our city celebrate the Day of the City. Different celebrations take place all around our city.
This year a lot of festivities were held at the children’s playset “Fairy Tale (Кazka).” There was a match at the Central Stadium between a team of famous people from Mykolaiv and a team of Ukrainian stage pop stars “Maestro”.


The Art Gallery at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University receives visitors again. This time, these are artists from Lviv, Kateryna and Volodymyr Nemyra, who came to the south with an exhibition “Image Harmony”.


Pupils of Mykolaiv Community College named after V. D. Chaika have visited an exhibition of Kateryna and Volodymyr Nemyra, that takes place at the Art Gallery of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
