International Activity
Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University pays huge attention to the development and intensification of international relations. The plans of university development are adopted in order to respond to changes in the system of educational process in Ukraine and Europe and worldwide tendencies.
Among the most perspective projects there are the opening of the Institute in Tbilisi as a part of structural part of PMBSNU and the creation of the Confucius University within PMBSNU in cooperation with our Chinese colleagues.
The University is recognized as the best university in Mykolaiv oblast by the UNESCO international ranking “Top-100 Ukraine”. According to international survey the University takes places in top-20 among the best 200 universities of Ukraine in recent years.
Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is unquestionable leader in the quality and quantity of academic exchange programs for students and lecturers. Many of them got diplomas and undertook apprenticeships at the best universities from France, Germany, Norway and USA. 15 scientists and lecturers of PMBSNU were awarded with diplomas and medals of Honorable international scientific community Phi Beta Delta, USA.
The University has license to prepare foreign students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canada, China, Columbia, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Every year lectures from many countries in the world give lectures and workshops at the University. During its existence more than 100 lecturers from Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Southern Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA visit our University. We also invite famous foreign diplomats, scientists and politicians to give lectures at PMBSNU. We want to highlight visits and meetings with The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Bulgaria, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, UK and USA.
The University successfully completed many projects supported by the Embassies of France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Switzerland and USA. Among the others there are summers schools, international scientific conferences and creation of European language centers.
PMBSNU has good and stable relations with such international organizations as:
- Fulbright Program, IREX, Clinton Global Initiative University, Open Society Institute, Peace Corps, ACCELS, ALDEC, IREX, international honor society Phi Beta Delta, American Council on Education (ACE), Civic Educational Project CEP, Talloires Network (USA);

- Goethe-Institut, DAAD, Siemens, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Robert Bosch Foundation, Europakium program (Germany);
- Alliance française, Français à domicile (France);
- Fellowship Program in Poland (Poland);
- Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation (Italy);
- Maritime Studies, Quota (Norway).
- Tempus-Tacis (European Union).
PMBSNU is recognized worldwide as credible educational establishment. It joined the Bologna and Talloires Declarations. It is the member of American Council for International Education and Association of European Universities. The University has also applied for membership to the Eurasian Association of Universities was.
The main directions of International Relations Office activity are:
- presentation of the University at the international level and international organizations;
- search of potential partners, preparation and concluding of agreements on cooperation with foreign universities and organization of cooperation with them;
- cooperation with Embassies and Consulates of foreign countries in Ukraine;
- preparation of specialists (masters and post-graduate students) for our partner states;
- participation in preparation and fulfillment of international scientific and educational projects and programs;
- cooperation with foreign associations, trade unions and firms,
- informational and advertising activity at the international level;
- search for means of financing at international organs, associations and other organizations;
- education of Ukrainian students, post-graduate students and researchers in foreign languages and their preparation for foreign business trips;
- coordination of university department participation in international symposiums, congresses and conferences.
Iovcheva Alina Mykhailivna

Education: Took part in numerous international academic exchange programs, for example: Robert Shuman Institute “Gender in politics” (Hungary), Human Rights Umbrella (Ukraine-Sweden), Humanity in Action (Germany, Poland), Conference “Reconciliation of Work, Personal and Private Life” (Republic of Serbia), “Eastern European Partnership” (Germany-Ukraine), “Political Mechanisms Providing “Green Economy” in Germany” (Germany), Erasmus+Ka107 etc. She is also the Head of the NGO “Together to develop” – a regional network of researches and professors of Universities in the South Ukraine, member of Ukrainian Association of European Studies.
Defended thesis:
2013 – defended thesis on the topic: “Gender equality in modern political processes of Republic of Serbia and Ukraine” for getting science degree “PhD in Political Science” on the specialty 23.00.02 – Political Institutions and Processes.
Research interests: gender balance in decision-making positions, political management on energy efficiency, political culture and mass media.

Pachos Anastasiia Vasilivna

Education and Career:
She got a Bachelor degree at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University under the specialty «Foreign philology (English and French language and literature) » in 2017. During scientific practice she published articles in the journal «Student Scientific Studios» and in March 2019 got a Master degree.

Sinko Yulia Vyacheslavivna

Education and Career:
In 2018 graduated from Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding and received qualification of accounting and auditing. She received a scholarship of the Mayor and the city council during her studies.
Extracurricular activities:Acting head of HR-service at the All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization «Foundation of Regional Initiatives» (FRI) of Mykolayiv Cell. Participated in volunteer and charity programs such as Tryhutty International Kite Festival, Charity event «Heart to Heart».Trained in Nikolaev City Council and graduated from the school assistant deputy.

She got a Bachelor degree at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University under the specialty «Foreign philology (English and German language and literature)» in 2017. She has experience in communication with students, because she had excellent undergraduate practice at the Department of English Philology. Yemets Anna Oleksandrivna

Education and Career:
In 2017, completed the full course of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and obtained the qualification: Bachelor Degree in Philology (English and German languages, including Translation). In 2016, she participated in the student semester international exchange at the Pomeranian University in Slupsk, Poland.
In 2016, she participated in the All-Ukrainian competition of student’s scientific works. During 2018-2019 she participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Philological Sciences in the System of Contemporary Humanitarian Knowledge of the XXI Century» in Odessa and published an article in the scientific journal («Transcarpathian Philological Studies»).
In 2019, completed the full course of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and obtained the Master’s Diploma with honours in Philology (Germanic languages and literature, including Translation).

Education and career:
In 2018 graduated from the Institute of Philology of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and received a Bachelor Degree in foreign languages, translation of English and German, teaching of English and German languages and literature.
In August 2018, took part in Business Practice in Norway (Nord University).
Since autumn 2018, continues education in the Master Degree at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, specializing in Foreign Philology (English, French).
Scientific interests: international relations, grant programs, foreign languages and translation.

Stepanenko Sergey Igorovich
Leading Specialist in International Relations.
Education and professional path:
He graduated with honors from Petro Mohyla Black Sea Univestity under the specialty «Social Work» in 2017, since September 2017 he has got a master degree in the same specialty. In 2015, he visited the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria with a scientific visit. In 2017 he took part in the nomination «The Best Student of Ukraine».
Non-academic activity: active participant of all-Ukrainian and international scientific-research conferences, round tables, seminars and olympiads.

Boichenko Galyna Viktorivna
leading specialist at the International department, PhD in Historical Science, senior lecturer
Education and career:
In 2011 graduated from Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University and received qualification of political scientist-foreign affairs specialist, interpreter. In autumn 2011 Galyna became a postgraduate student of Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University at the speciality “History”. In summer 2013 Galyna visited Republic of Poland (Przemyśl and Warsaw) with a scientific visit. In spring 2015 Galyna defended thesis on the topic: “National policy of Republic of Poland in 1989-2012 (on the example of Ukrainian minority)”. In June 2015 Galyna got science degree “PhD in Historical Science”. Galyna participated in different international scientific-practical conferences. From 2013 Galyna works as a leading specialist at the International department of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. From 2015 Galyna is also a senior lecturer at the department of international relations and foreign policy.
Defended thesis:
