FIRST FORUM OF THE COMPUTER SCIENCES FACULTY
On 29, September at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University “Mohylianka FCS-Forum” has started. The main aim of the event is to create a new IT platform for youth.
The organizer of this forum is the second year student Ivan Fomenko and the students of Computer Sciences Faculty. The personnel and the dean of this faculty were only lecturers during this event.
As the organizers of FCS-Forum mention, this is a three-day event for organizers and participants. During three days, the participants of the Forum, who are mostly first-year students, listened to different lectures and took part in workshops (master classes) about creation and management of the projects.
On the day of the opening of the Forum, successful students of Computer Sciences Faculty, among them are Roman Leizerovych (project manager), Anastasia Tarasova (the lecturer of the Computer Academy “SHAH (STEP)” and Oleksii Hvozdenko (specialist of information and computer center of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University) have spoken with the participants of the Forum. They have explained on their own experience how everyone can build their own career and where to use knowledge and skills that you have, even still being a student.
The deputy dean of the Faculty, Yevhen Sidorenko and the dean of the Faculty, Maksym Musiienko also spoke at the meeting. Yevhen Sidorenko shared his experience about the participation in he international grant projects, and Maksym Mysiienko assured all the participants that all the creative ideas of the students would be supported by the lecturers of the Faculty.
The second day of the Forum which took place on 1, October, was devoted to project management and teambuilding. Ivan Fomenko and Vadym Akhundov read a lecture for the participants.
On 8, October the Forum will end. On this day all the participants have to present the ideas for future projects.
