The Bachelor of Sociology is trained for the organizational and administrative, technical, analytical and research activities in the social, economic, and political spheres. Students must study the humanitarian, social and economic, fundamental and professionally oriented courses. A specialist of “Sociology” learns to define priority issues of the Ukraine social development and its regions and investigate it practically; to develop specific recommendations for resolving social contradictions and conflicts, advancing work organization forms, its division and cooperation, improving employment conditions; to draft programs of the economic and social development enterprises, the social and cultural activities fund; to provide the methodical assistance to employees of organizations and enterprises on the resolution of social problems.

The Bachelor program provides the knowledge on determine the conditions and resources required for the implementation of social work various areas and social interferences types, provision of the social services to the different strata of people, individuals, and families. Students learn to determine community conditions that can influence conducting different social work branches and social interferences types, providing social services to the diverse sections of populations, individuals or families. Besides, they investigate methods and tools of research aimed at the evaluation of the existing conditions and the social work resources; learn to collect data regarding professional interference conditions and resources on the community level, the social group, certain family or an individual, and information regarding vital activity resources of families or individuals, who request help of the social services.

Training of Master’s degree is the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. During the training, students formed a scientific worldview; the knowledge of the basic laws of development of nature and society, the key stages of development of humanitarian and socio-economic sciences. Masters study the world paradigms of sociological thought; explore man’s place in the social world, in general – the relationship of nature and humanity; the place of culture in human development, types of cultures and the system of basic cultural values, social identity of religious doctrines and beliefs. They become familiar with the content of modern sociology as a science, define its role in modern society in the study of globalization and social integration processes; study the methodology and methods of concrete sociological research and modern information technology.
