On May 3, Rector Zbigniew Osadowski from the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk (Poland) visited Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. During the visit, the lecture related to the planned activities of the Visegrad Fund Project: Course “Democracy in transition with V4 experience” was organized by Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
During the lecture, presented by prof. Osadovski, students and lecturers learned more about such features of democratic transformations in the field of Higher Education in the V4 countries on the Poland example: ways of the educational institutions financing, universities’, faculties’ and institutes’ rankings and the overall results of democratic changes in the system of Polish education after entering the EU. All those present at the event had an opportunity to discuss further democratic cooperation with the Polish state in various spheres.
Rector of the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk Zbigniew Osadowski emphasized the significant role of the exchanges between students and teachers in the development of polish higher education system. He also noted the importance of European programs HORIZON 2020, Erasmus +, etc. in the development of democratic institutions in the V4 countries.
During the meeting, Leonid Klymenko, rector of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, personally thanked prof. Osadowski for his visit and noticed that: “Cooperation between our states in the educational sphere has the long and good history, especially the relations between Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk last for more than 5 years. We hope that in the future cooperation between our educational institutions will strengthen, making the democratic transformations in Polish and Ukrainian societies more powerful.”
