In Kyiv from 4 to 7, November Ukrainian Championship in fencing took place. There was a team of 7 fencers from Mykolaiv. Among them was a student of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University – Oleh Naumenko.
First two days the sportsmen competed in an individual superiority on swords and dueling swords. The next two days team competition took place.
On the first day of the competition Oleh Naumenko, the bronze medal winner of this year Paralympic Games which were held in Rio won a gold medal in sword fencing among men (Category B). In dueling sword fencing, he took the second place (the first place took Anton Datsko from Lviv).
Also, from the Championship Oleh Naumenko has brought to our city Team Gold Medal. AS a result, Mykolaiv won the first place in fencing, having conquered the team from Donetsk.
