International students pay a visit to a local orphanage


On the fifth of June, the international students of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University visited local orphanage. Beforehand, the students had found out what was in need and scarce in the institution. Thus, the decision to offer a sensory swing set for sensory integration room was taken.

Carbon Federation director (company that procures international students to the university), Mohan Sundar on the topic, ‘We decided to engage the students and make them understand how life can turn out. A lot of young people complain that they lack something, but there are those who lack way more’.

The students relate that the tradition to help children is deeply rooted in Indian culture: gifting cloth, toys, and sweets is a part of it. That is why as students in a foreign university they decided to continue with the tradition. The students split up to visit three different children groups. Besides the swing set, they brought fruits and sweets.
