Paralympic Champions among us


This year the national team of Ukraine shows unbelievable results at Paralympic Games. From the first day of the contest our team took the third place according to the amount of medals (the first place took China, and the second one– Great Britain).
Students of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University – Hennadii Boiko and Oleh Naumenko (“Sport” faculty) – also have made their contribution to the stunning result.
Hennadii Boiko, the Master of Sport of Ukraine and the Champion of Paralympic Games in 2012, which were held in London, has set an international record and won a gold medal in backstroke swimming (100 m for men) of the S1 class.
His coach, Mykola Ilin – the teacher of Olympic and Professional Sport department at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and Honored Coach of Ukraine – went to Rio with him.
Oleh Naumenko – the first-timer of the Olympics, the World Cup Medalist in 2015, the Master of Sport of Ukraine – has won bronze medal in sabre, triumphing over Hungarian participant Richard Osvat with the score 15:8.
Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is proud of our Paralympians and wishes them great inspiration for further triumphs.
