 Editorial and Publishing Office of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University began its activities in 1997 as a structural unit of the newly established higher educational institution – Mykolaiv Branch of National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.

Today, the Editorial and Publishing Office is a structural unit of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. The head of the office is Liudmyla Chorna.

In its activities, the Editorial and Publishing Office is guided by the Laws of Ukraine “On Publishing”, “On Information”, “On Copyright and Related Rights”, “On the Principles of State Language Policy”, “On Higher Education”, and relevant regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Book Chamber of Ukraine, the Statute of the University, decisions of the Academic Council of the University, orders of the Rector of the University, orders of the Vice-Rector for Research and the Regulations on the Editorial and Publishing Office of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

The main tasks and activities of the department are to provide the educational process of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and to meet the internal needs of the university with the necessary printing products, educational and scientific materials.

The office carries out a full range of editorial and publishing preparation for printing that includes literary and stylistic editing, proofreading, style development, design of bibliographic lists of articles in accordance with current standards.

The office’s activities cover publishing and printing services, high-quality literary and technical editing, computer layout, scanning, duplicating and binding of books, production of letterhead and business cards.

The strategic direction of the Editorial and Publishing Office is to publish its own scientific collections, scientific, popular-scientific, educational and methodological literature, including textbooks, monographs, manuals, newsletters, collections of scientific papers, conference proceedings, abstracts, and dissertations.
